So I was given paper and told to draw a horse and without looking at one...I realized that I suck. So here are two attempts that have so many problems that I can't even begin to easily describe what went wrong.
So here are two 'horses'.
Here's one that I used the salt and watercolor technique around.
Here's the original drawing of the one that I used with the salt and watercolor technique.

Rhythmic Stormwatching....
Got bored and decided to paint my naked Stormwatch resin like my horse. Although my Stormwatch resin is with someone currently being commissioned as my horse so I had to do with a canvas and a sketch I had done of my Stormwatch previously. So without further ado, here is my portrait of my horse, on a portrait of a model.
Here he is more recently.

Long time no post!
I have been working on an over stretched American Saddlebred in a parked out pose. I know that this is not correct as it puts strain on the horse, but since no horses were harmed in the making of this project...wth! So here he is so far....
And just for fun. He has actually, since, been primered so he doesn't really seem so bumpy and rough. The colored epoxy makes him just seem so off and unsmooth or refined.

Finally really trying to paint
Okay so after 4 months of nothing I finally decided to paint a horse for the Halloween SM Swap. He's by no means perfect, far from it, but okay for my first time I guess. I kinda had to rush, okay I really had to rush on him, and wasn't able to take the time that I really wanted to on him. But, without further ado...Here he is!
Here is his near side. If you look there are some paint goobers behind his shoulder and the dark legs aren't blended well yet. He has a little bit too much white on his eyes, but not too bad from the photos. If you saw him in person you would see that my main flaw right now is trying to do eyes, at least at this size. I might be better at a larger size.
He also has a goober on the inside of his right hind leg. I got carried away with the grey on the hooves. I need to add some more blending and thenwork on the mane and tail a little.

Who needs graceful long legs?
Firstly, the pony has the shortest squattiest legs ever made. So ugly! I have tried to heat up and squish to lengthen, but only to get mediocre results. Need to fix the front legs and lengthen them to really see how far I am off. The neck needs to come forward a tad. I'm just gonna have to heat the legs up and lengthen them in the middle of the joints to obtain the height I want. I did not want to do that, but at least it w
ill help reduce the bulkiness of them I hope. (Yeah did you notice the tail missing? lol)
Next, is the foal. I really need to get farther on this guy before someone realizes that I kinda put him to the side for WAY too long. I'm trying to decide if I should change the leg position of the kicking motion or leave it as is. Decisions, Decisions!
One is the Shire that I want to make into a great amazing beast. You would have to see the image in my head to
really understand it I guess.
The last is the Morgan, who is being transformed into a spanish style horse. What? You don't see it? I do. Hehe!
I seriously need to work on the pony though. I will probably go to blab to get some advice and help with him.
That's all for now folks!

The Trouble With Ponies
Okay....so I just found out that Midnight Tangos tail is actually a weight to help hold homself up. Acidentally broke it off and how he stands, barely, on two legs. He wobbles a lot. He is only going to be on two legs anyways, but I really didn't intend for himto be that wobbly until a little later in the transformation.
Current Stuff: Not much progress, but lots of photos!
Well, I decided to pull out all of my horses and bodies and work on them a little bit. Here is where I left off and some new works that I started.
To the left is the Quarter Horse that I will be forever working on. He is headless, half legless, but still says something to me. That neck probably has to have major work done, but oh well. Let's see what is there to be done. Find all legs, check. Find head, check. Fill with autobody filler....er....why would I happen to have that lying around? Gotta wad up some aluminum foil inside first then put autobody filler around to make heavier
Next would be the Frolicking Foal that I have been working on...for....a...while. Clearly I've gotten a long way with him since you can barely tell he is still a Frolicking Foal, right? (You can lie here.)I keep wanting to try something and then chicken out. He just doesn't talk to me when I look at him. If I see a cool picture I think, Yeah! Then I look at him and think, Nah... I will just have to pick him up and chance messing him up. I mean he does have a lot of flaws when y
Then there's this guy my Achilles heel. He has been sitting around waiting to be finished FOREVER. Okay a year and a half. I need to rework the head a little. Rework the legs a lot. undefine than redefine the muscles. Hey it makes sense in my head. I love this guy, but really need to make a mold out of him soon so I can maybe fine tune a hard copy. At this point it would just help out a lot more I think. The fetlocks and hooves are just a mess. The chest looks like a muscle builder. The gaskins are WAY too long. I mean there are soooo many things I like about him, but then I look again to work on and just get depressed. Sarah Rose I am NOT! This makes that painfully evident.
Here is a Bronze basecoated TWH. Who doesn't need a random bronze horse. I really need to put paint over the base coat. Thing number 7 to get around to. lol
Here is a Kitten Chow resin by Candace Liddy I started to paint like the albino zebras. Faint pink nose, light blue eyes, light tan hooves, and stripes. Wait, where's the stripes. Yeah I tried them and you know it's hard to try that on a horse this small. I will have to try a day when I can actually sit still for that long. lol Since I never quit
drinking coffee that might not happen for a long time.
I found this picture a long time ago of a gorgeous Miniature Horse pulling a carriage in a beautiful flowy trot. So here comes pony-zilla. He's pretty freaky looking. The hardest thing was to make cuts around his tail up to his butt. That tail has to go. It is large and in the way. I think it weighs as much as the rest of the horse. Lots of leg work, mane has to go, fix hole in top of
head at forelock, and a face lift.
Here is Merrylegs. She has only half of her legs. I'm thinking about a carriage mate for my trotting Miniature Horse. She was who I had originally intended to do that horse with. So who knows I may have two on opposite diagonals of tr
otting.
Finally, Mini Alborozo type of horse. I had clay, I liked Alborozo, and I created. Then put away never to be seen again. Aha! Ingenious plan! I'm actually afraid of working on him cause he's so delicate and brittle. He has a wire armature, but geez this tiny and I see legs crumbling.

I think I will probably work on these guys tonight and I might post again tomorrow, or 20 minutes from now. lol Who knows if I will get frustrated and give up or actually have something to show in a little bit. Anyways, there's kind of an update on stuff.
